Time to leave home

I've only used my Pennybridge as a wallet up to now as I didn't want to run the risk of losing one of my Maldens but I decided that this little lad is ready for the big world outside and as well as being my Bullet Journal Thought Capturing Brain Dump he's now my wallet come mobile holder. My Pennybridge and 'phone case are now resting. This is my Pocket Malden and the dingle dangle I chose for this is a trolley coin for use when I shop at the supermarket.

I'm on a roll with the Autumn theme and this is a plastic pocket with a cutting from a magazine inside.

Opposite my flyleaf I keep coins in the zip pocket and my card in the slip pocket. It doesn't seem as secure as in a dedicated card slot so I may transfer it into a plastic pocket.

My ICE information is in the next plastic holder,

followed by my year at a glance.

Inside is my Bullet Journal Thought Capturing Brain Dump plus some handy bits of note paper for shopping lists or notes.

The back pocket holds my mobile 'phone and in the other pocket is a bus timetable.

My bus pass fits in one of the front pockets and other relevant bus times are slotted in behind.

I really must crochet a suitably autumnal coloured ring protector. This purple one came out of my mini and is not quite the right size.

Crochet Cover for my Learning Filofax

Ever get a fuzzy warm sort of feeling when thinking and handling your Filofax. If I didn't before I do now with this crocheted cover. The basic stitching was UKdc.

There's an added bit of bling with the button fastener.

And the yarn matches really well with the Dark Aqua of the A5 Original.

It looks equally at home covering the Fluro Pink ...

and the Lilac.

Other Filofax colours hidden in there are Burnt Orange, Portobello Blue, Aqua, Kingfisher Blue and Pear.

Crochet cover for my Craft Organiser

Here's cover number 2 this time for my fluro pink A5 Original. It's a different style in that ...

the Filofax is inserted from the side into a bag style cover.

The stitch is box stitch with a UK double crochet border of 3 rounds. A crocheted strap holds the cover in place.

This cover is much better than my prototype as it does not flap about because the edges are sewn together.

I'm quite pleased with this one and if I can find some Dark Aqua or Fuchsia pink wool ...

I shall be crocheting another and learning different stitch at the same time. I think this Fluro pink Original will become my Craft Organiser containing crochet, knitting and sewing information with pages for -

Works in Progress

Library of Future Projects

and a

Supplies List.

Filofax crocheted cover

I read somewhere on the web (Philofaxy Facebook group, I think) about one person who had crocheted a cover for her personal Original lilac Filofax. I thought it was wonderful and wondered if I could do one of my own - not that I take my planner anywhere. I duly set to and started hooking. Here's the result - my lilac A5 Original Filofax crochet cover.

It's basically a rectangle done in any stitch and then I put on a border (because my rectangle was too small)! To finish off I crocheted a strap to hold the cover in place around the planner.

By adding buttons I could make the cover similar to the real thing.

Here it is in all its glory but I doubt if I will use it as the Filofax stays at home on my shelf. I'll put its outdoor coat away for now but my crochet mojo is still strong and another coat may soon be hot off the press. I've got some bright pink yarn and a pink Original is winging its way towards me and should arrive anytime soon. :)
